Day 8: Out Goes The Crapper!! As you can see, der Krapper is kaput. It came out with relatively little resistance and I only got about half a gallon of loo water on me, niiiiiiice.
The shower presented little problemo. The area is too short for a 5' tub so it looks like I'll be tearing out another wall.
There's the wall and the cabinet that'll be coming out. I'll replace the cabinet with something skinnier ~18" vs. the current 24".
Day Six: Here's a shot of the entry way all cleaned out. There was about 20 cubic kilos of fiberglass insulation that fell on my head when I was taking down the ceiling plaster - it felt great mixed with the 92 degree weather.
A shot of the kitchen with the wall all blown out. Lots more space and there are some extra wires to hang stuff from.
Here's a shot from the front door into the kitchen. Widening that opening makes it a lot less pear shaped. I'll bring the wall on the left in about six inches and the one on the right about 3 inches. Also completed are the built in closets are history - making the Master's quarters much more spacious. All that's left for demo is the bathroom and the bookcase by the fireplace. No problem - the 30 yard dumpster is only half full.
